Mormon Family Serves Needy at Dump Site

The Reg Nield Family, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have started a family tradition at the Harare City dump that has benefited hundreds of people in dire need.  With help from local members of their church, the family travelles to the city dump to assist those who need help most.

Food and clothing items are gathered and distributed to those who rely on scavenging through the refuse for their survival.  Mr. Nield, who is a leader in his congregation of the Church, has made this trek to those in need on several occasions.  Several of the missionaries who are serving in Zimbabwe also volunteer to transport and distribute to those in need.
