Saints in Zimbabwe Thrilled with Announcement of President Russell M. Nelson and Sister Wendy Nelson and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and Sister Patricia Holland visiting Africa

A February 20, 2018 news release announced church President Russell M. Nelson and his wife Sister Wendy Nelson, accompanied by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and his wife Sister Patricia Holland, will visit Africa in April 2018. The visit will include stops in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Members in Zimbabwe are expressing their great gratitude and enthusiasm for what may be a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to be with the prophet.

Following are comments from four church members.

Brother Victor Gwezere, former branch president of the Harare Town Branch says: "I don't know quite how to describe my feelings. It's overwhelming to be able to see the Prophet in person! It's a lifetime achievement for me personally. I've looked forward to something like this, to look at the Lord's mouthpiece in person will be life changing. Now I will prepare myself to meet him."

Sister Samantha Moyo, counselor in the Harare Stake Relief Society, "For us here in Zimbabwe it's a major thing that he is coming when he has just become president of the church. It's an exciting period for us...we are excited to meet his wife. I know a couple who are not members of the church whose son is serving a mission now...they want to hear President Nelson speak and Elder Holland has also been one of my favorite speakers."

Brother Sande Sande, Bishop of the Enterprise Ward, "It's amazing! I attended a conference when President Nelson was here as an apostle. I sang in the choir. I would love to shake his hand. On my mission in Johannesburg, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland came to visit...I was blessed to be in the right place at the right time and got to shake his hand."

Sister Roselyn Muzividzi, Counselor in the Harare South Stake Relief Society Presidency, "We are so lucky! This the second prophet to visit us. I am looking forward to what he has to say about the future of the Church in Zimbabwe. I know he is a man of God...I love the prophet. His visit is going to be a blessing...a new temple and now a visit from our prophet."
